Since Heidi Ella Dolls began just a few months ago I've had such amazing support from everyone. The comments I receive on my page and the emails that tell me how much you and your children these dolls make me so happy!
In celebration of this wonderful support I've received and the '1000 liker' milestone I have 'Lucy' to giveaway to one lucky person :)
'Lucy' is a handmade fabric doll, 17" tall. Her face has been hand embroidered and her seams are double stitched for durability. 'Lucy' has been designed as a doll that can be played with, she is suitable for children under three- her bracelet and dress are removable. Her headband and hair ribbons are securely attached and cannot be removed. The main part of her body is made from the same fabric as her pretty dress :)

I personally love and prefer to buy handmade because you know that the person making has put a lot of effort it to it and it has a personal touch to it. None are ever identical.

Some may say I have a slight obsession. I love how it allows people's creativity to shine. It often provides a source of income to a Mum. I love to buy handmade because it reminds me of my childhood. My Nan was a handcrafter & taught me many crafts. I had many cloth, knitted & crocheted toys, quilts & clothes.

I love buying handmade because I know that the attention to detail and love that is put into the creations is second to none. Supporting handmade means supporting a WAHM, meaning (most of the time) that they are able to stay home with their children. I also much prefer handmade to mass produced as a lot of items are ooak or only a small run and you know that you are not going to come across every second person / child wearing the same thing.

I buy handmade because I think the quality is so much better than that bought in stores. I make myself and I know the time and love that goes in to each of my items, so I know that when I purchase handmade I am not just purchasing a doll or dress or whatever it may be, I am also buying a little bit of love from the maker.
